Regular membership in the association is open to health care professionals and scientists of Caribbean background resident in North America.
Regular members shall have the right to make motions, vote, or hold elective office.
Dues shall be set by the Board of Directors and are subject to change.
Students of Caribbean background in the health professions or the sciences are eligible for membership but shall have no right to make motions, vote, or hold elective office.

Health care professionals and scientists resident in the Caribbean are eligible for affiliate member status.
Health care professionals and scientists in the US who work with Caribbean populations or in areas of relevance to the Caribbean are also eligible for Affiliate Membership.
Other professionals who have expertise relevant to the aims and mission of the organization are also eligible for membership with approval of the Board of Directors.

The Board of Directors may elect as honorary members (on the basis of position, honor or eminence in the community) persons who would not ordinarily qualify for membership in the association.
Organizations are also be eligible for honorary membership based on similar criteria.
Honorary members shall be designated as Honorary members of the Caribbean Medical and Scientific Association and shall have such privileges as the Board of Director shall determine.
Honorary members shall have all the rights of regular members except the right to make motions, vote, or hold elective office.
Individuals and corporations may apply for lifetime membership under criteria to be developed by the Board of Directors.
